About Me

My name is Amy. I took up an interest in cooking during my sophomore year in college after I had moved out of the dorms into my own apartment. Without the dining hall, my parents and the cheap food you can find in Seoul, I knew I needed to take charge of my nutrition. Lots of Food Network viewing ensued. I love cooking on my own using borrowed recipes or ones I’ve created myself.

As an Army Brat, I was born in Italy but grew up in Seoul, South Korea where my dad met my Korean stepmother. I have been exposed to different foods all over the world, and I will eat ANYTHING… except eyeballs, brains and squid. I know it might be cliche to say I love food, but I. Love. Food.

This blog is an outlet for me to share my favorite foods and my love for cooking.

You need to learn to enjoy squid. You are missing out. I know you like calamari, but squid is so delicious in order forms.

Hey, it’s Jessie’s mom. I saw your apple pie cookie recipe on fb and thought I thought it looked great! Especially since you use fresh apples and make your own caramel sauce. I’m looking forward to trying these! Are you on Pinterest? I’ll find you!
